Foundry 47 Foundation is a Delaware not-for-profit corporation.  Donations to Foundry 47 Foundation are processed by Arts Engine, which is our fiscal sponsor.  Arts Engine, Inc., and its projects, are designated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as tax-exempt as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and, as such, contributions to Arts Engine, Inc. are tax-deductible.  


Personal information that you enter will be used solely to process your donation and provide you a tax-deductible receipt.


A 6% fiscal sponsorship processing fee applies to all donations.   A standard credit card processing fee of 3.54% applies to credit card donations.  All other funds are applied to our mission and programs.

Fiscal Sponsorship is a fundraising tool that provides an alternative to, or prior to an organization establishing its own 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation in order to access funding for non-commercial projects from various grant-making organizations or individuals.  The funding, when received, is given to this nonprofit, tax-exempt umbrella organization. This organization, acting as the recipient’s fiscal sponsor, administers and accounts for funding on behalf of the recipient organization.


The fiscal sponsor is legally responsible for the funds received on behalf of sponsored projects. It must insure that the funds are used for the activities/work agreed upon by the donor and the recipient, and that the donor reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion.
